Lots of time w. Deddy

Enjoying a break in the heat

Music filled days

"Big Dinosaurs" (of course)

Being home & together...the collective favorite

"Waterplay!" (cooling off the ol' fashioned way)

Feet up ~ cool & somewhat relaxed (in between "Mommmmeeeee's?!?")

Sam the Turtle (version 2.0) - fastest moving turtle, ever!

The true arrival of "pink" ~ tears shed (no surprise there)

Back deck dining

Bending rules :)

Futile 'squiter fighting ~ avg. 5-10 bites per family member

Cold & domestic (Deddy channeling Pappaw Worley w.his constant coolering!)

Lots o' bird watching & listening for "airpanes"

All day pj'ing ~ true earmark of a good weekend :)

Not pictured...
The completion of John's big boy Dinosaur room (Seth & I may switch w.him - pretty cool room!) ~ The transformation of Baby "Ehhh's" room...ahhh, deep breaths/sighs all around ~ Going to church - laughing more than we should, as usual ~ A nice, family lunch at Ruby Tuesday's ~ Lots of hugs, laughs, naps & enjoying each other...
The pinnacle for Seth & I...last night before bath, John once again made the left turn at the top of the stairs into the baby's room. As usual, we held our breath, waiting for him to break our heart w.some digression that it's still his room. John walked over, perched his hands on the side of the crib & asked for "bunny" - Ella's pink lovey that sits in the corner. Still holding breath a lil' - I reached for it, gave it to him & he gestured it back to me saying "babeee Ehh's" and tried to give it to her under my shirt. I said "oh buddy" (in that 'bout to cry voice) ~ too sweet!! He continues to amaze & awe us w.his roll with it-ness :) We are counting and continuing to be thankful for this blessing!
And speaking of counting blessings, the most important one we counted this weekend was the freedom to live the life we do. There are not enough hours in the days or breath in our bodies to fully account for all the glorious blessings that living free affords us.
We hope everyone had a blessed Independence Day ~ have a great week!
